Women have a complicated relationship with their bodies. I know this firsthand, as my mother's criticism instilled a deep feeling in me that I was not "enough." She had me dieting at quite an young age. As a result, my self-esteem hit an all-time low.
And then, I became a people pleaser and overachiever to compensate. This may sound familiar to you...
How did I rebuild my confidence? Through doing some deep inner work.
Getting out in nature helped me reconnect with myself in a way I never thought possible. Yesterday, I took a simple walk on the Tweetsie Trail in Johnson City, Tennessee. These walks have me coming away with some fresh ideas.
You may be a woman in midlife, perhaps an empty nester, or newly divorced, or stepping into retirement, and asking yourself, "what's next."
As an author, my books are teaching memoirs. As a life coach, we sit together to discover and uncover a purpose and joy that will open up a path in your life that you never expected.
It hasn't been an easy journey, but what I have learned, is that every challenge brought me one step closer to a more authentic person, who truly loves herself.
I trust that perhaps, you're ready. It's time to begin to feel fully alive with your joy and purpose.
